The Sanyo SCP 4900 cell Phone
It's a pity about its looks because apart from the poor chunky design. The Sanyo SCP 4900 is actually a pretty strong phone with excellent features and a good battery life. I would say that it's an excellent upgrade from the 4700. With more customization, features and a gorgeous color screen, this is the phone to look out for.
Like most other Sanyo phones, there are a lot of customizable options with the SCP 4900 cell phone. Whether its graphics or sounds everything is downloadable. Its wireless web interface is text oriented while maintaining a cool jazzy feel to it. Other features include text messaging, voice-activated dialing, the ability to act as a speakerphone and of course games. The mobile is also GPRS and Java enabled so don't be surprised if you find yourself downloading a whole bunch of games and applications that will eat up your time.
Sadly the call quality of the Sanyo SCP 4900 cell phone leaves much to be desired. On some odd occasions we'd get a signal but the actual call quality could be good or poor. This was annoyingly random. This was the same with call clarity, sometimes callers on the other end couldn't tell that I was on a mobile phone, but at other times they could barely hear me at all.
Don't let this deter you from using the phone's speakerphone ability though because every time it was tested it performed quite well. It's safe to say that the quality of the speakerphone in the SCP 4900 cell phone is above average. The same could be said about the mobile's battery life. It does very well and surpasses the talk time listed by Sanyo. You can really get to chatting with this cell phone.
