A top of the line multimedia cell phone, the Sanyo MM-5600 from Sprint has a lot of features and functions. Perhaps a little bulky in size its still a phone worth purchasing for the sheer amount of features that it offers. This is a mobile that offers a multitude of multimedia features without neglecting its primary function of being a cell phone.

Right from the start this cell phone has been pimped as a multimedia cell phone and the Sanyo MM-5600 doesn't disappoint. The regular features of a mobile phone are of course included and they are a huge phone book, the ability to pair caller IDs with photos and polyphonic ringtones, voice commands, speakerphone, three way calling, text and multimedia messaging, and a WAP browser. This means that using the Sprint network you'll be able to surf the web and check your emails quickly and easily. Other methods of connectivity include a USB port. Sadly the phone does not have Bluetooth so tahts one form of wireless connectivity missing.

The multimedia features of the Sanyo MM-5600 cell phone are excellent. First up is its 1.3-megapixel camera. This camera is capable of a 20X zoom and that's 5 times the zoom of a regular camera phone. There are also a wide range of camera options that will please any camera phone user. From brightness control to color and picture taking modes as well as a flash there's just so much you can do with this mobile phone. Furthermore, the pictures that come out are impressive for a camera phone. Detailed and rich in colors it takes pictures that are actually printable.

Apart from taking pictures, the camera on the Sanyo MM-5600 cell phone is also capable of video recording. You should be able to take clips of up to 30 seconds long and the features that apply to your picture taking can be used here as well. 20X zoom, picture and brightness modes and a self timer as well. The only complaint is that with the memory space available, we wish it could take clips that were longer than 30 seconds.

The other impressive multimedia feature on this phone is its media player. You'll be able to use this phone as your portable Mp3 player. And it's not badly designed either. You will have the option to pause, forward or reverse in a song, as well as choose random and repeat modes. The music sounded great as well over the headset included with the Sanyo MM-5600 cell phone.
