The Samsung SGH X427m (Cingular Wireless) Cell Phone
Lightweight and hardy, the Samsung SGH X427m is a well designed phone. However it is a low end and basic phone from Cingular Wireless and Samsung so its probably best not to expect too much from it. Some of the features that it's missing include multimedia messaging and an external display. The lack of an external display on a clamshell mobile is odd and a little inconvenient and though.
The Samsung SGH X427m cell phone does have the basic features. It is fitted with many polyphonic ringtones and even a web browser for you to surf the net. You'll also find a phonebook with the ability to fit up to 500 contacts and a to-do list and memo pad.
What makes up for the lack of features though is it's user interface and menu system. There are multiple ways to access the menu in the Samsung SGHX427m. Firstly all the items are numbered so you have that option. Next you can use both you arrow keys as well as the two select keys on either side of the arrow keys. And if you don't feel like any of the above options there is also a center key between the arrows for your convenience. This is great because wherever your hands or fingers are, you'll be able to easily selecting what you're looking for.
Overall the Samsung SGH X427m cell phone is a lightweight both in its actual weight and in features. A sturdy but very basic low end cell phone, it's good for what it's expected to do but it really could have been so much more. Perhaps a starter phone for first time cell phone users, more experienced mobile users will probably prefer looking elsewhere.
