The Nokia 3300 (Cingular Wireless) Cell Phone

For a phone that wants to be a music player the Nokia 3300 from Cingular Wireless doesn't fair too badly. Unfortunately in its quest to become a music player it doesn't have much to offer in terms of actually being a phone. Large and chunky in design you can definitely see potential in the Nokia 3300 cell phone.

Held in two hands, the Nokia 3300's cell phone keyboard definitely takes some getting use to. But once you've accustomed yourself to it, sending text messages or emails is pretty easy. However you'll have to readjust yourself again to dial numbers though because the number keys on the right side of the keyboard and they double as letter keys. This can be difficult to use and confusing at times. Also, the Nokia 3300 really isn't that great of a phone and talking on it has been awkward and painful. So instead of using it like a regular mobile phone, you're probably better of using a headset with it.

When it comes to features though, this is where the cell phone really shines. The mobile includes a speaker phone, it allows you to send emails, text messages and even multimedia messaging. The cell phone supports Java (this means games and applications galore) and the Nokia 3300 even allows for voice activated commands.

The biggest feature of the Nokia 3300 cell phone is its high quality music player. Holding up to 64 MBs of Mp3s you can really enjoy your music wherever you go. The mobile allows for one touch to your music and is as easy to use as another other mp3 player out there. And don't worry, if there's a call your music will automatically stop to allow you to receive them. As expected, the battery life of the Nokia 3300 is impressive. It needs to be in order to function both as a phone and a music player.

Overall if you're looking for something different or a phone that doubles as your music player then the Nokia 3300 is the cell phone for you. However, serious cell phone users should give this fun phone a pass because its just not quite up to par. Rightly priced for it's model you're better of getting an account with Cingular Wireless and then purchasing it on discount.
